Complaints Procedure

At Bon Accord Hypnotherapy, your privacy and confidentiality are central to the therapeutic relationship. We take great care to protect your personal information and respect the trust you place in us.

Under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, you have the right to raise a concern if you believe your personal information has been handled inappropriately. This may include concerns about confidentiality, data security, or how your information has been used or shared. We ask that concerns are raised with us first so we can try to resolve it. Please be assured that any complaint will be handled with care, respect, and discretion. Raising a concern will not negatively affect the support you receive from us. Complaint records are stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary in line with our Privacy Policy.

How to Make a Complaint

You can raise a complaint in the way that feels most comfortable to you:

What Happens Next

We aim to handle all complaints in a fair, respectful, and timely manner. Once we receive your complaint, we will:

  • Acknowledge it within 7 working days.
  • Investigate without undue delay.
  • Keep you informed of progress.
  • Provide an outcome as soon as reasonably possible.

Important Information

All complaints are handled confidentially. However, there may be limited circumstances where information needs to be shared. This will only be done when absolutely necessary and in line with legal and professional obligations, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Examples may include:

  • Where there are safeguarding concerns.
  • Where required by law.
